Hello!  
This is a known issue that is being actively investigates please report additional details to this forum, or even to the issue on GitHub available here: [Hanging on Connecting to Client · Issue #170 · subspace/subspace-desktop · GitHub](https://github.com/subspace/subspace-desktop/issues/170)

Right now, feel free to try again from time to time (if you are lucky, server will respond you). Or wait until further notice for clear bug fix.
