# Failed to get block # from RPC: Request Timeout

When running my farmer, it was working just fine but I am seeing this error occasionally pop up

`Error subspace_farmer::plotting] Failed to get block #XXXXXX from RPC: Request timeout`

# Cause

This issue can have a variety of causes.

- Slow Disk
- Lack of CPU power (or shared CPU on VPS that is throttling)
- Battery Settings slowing things down
- Temporary load on computer caused by heavy applications

# Fix

Just start farmer again, it will continue from where it stopped.

“Fix is to just restart the farmer again but I repeatedly getting the error every time we start the new farmer… is there any other way that is more permanent or will it go away at some point?”
