# How do I restart the node?

I would like to restart my node, how can I do this? Will I have to re-plot & sync?

# Restart on CLI

To restart on CLI (Terminal) All you will need to do is stop the node terminal, this is typically done with Ctrl + C.

# Restart on Docker

In a terminal in the folder with `docker-compose.yml` file run:

```bash
docker-compose restart

```

# Subspace Desktop

1. Open task tray (Bottom right on Windows, Top Right macOS)
2. Right click on Subspace Desktop icon
3. Select Quit  
_Note: Just closing the window does **not** close the farmer, it will continue as a background task._
