Plotted sectors become not plotted after cluster restart

Issue Report

Plotted sectors become not plotted after cluster restart.

Environment

  • Operating System: Ubuntu 18.04
  • Pulsar/Advanced CLI/Docker: CLI subspace farmer jun 18 release

Problem

I have 6 farms and 100% plotted last week.
Today I have to stop the cluster and restart them for some maintain work.
After restart, I saw

  1. Three farm plot completion percentage drop from 100% to 50%
  2. Two farm drop from 100% to 20%
  3. One farm drop from 100% to 90%
I can send you the Subspace Grafana screenshots if you need. (No way to upload image here)
[Paste any errors or relevant logs here]

That makes sense if the initial plotting is complete, as the completion percentage is dynamic and depends on how many sectors need replotting compared to those replotted since the farmer started.

Sectors will need to be replotted as the blockchain archive history size increases and is a normal and expected part of the protocol.

I believe this has happened to me as well. I was running June 18th build last. Only had a couple more days left of initial plotting on the drives and they were almost full. Had to restart the system and when the cluster was started back up drives went down to 50% and even 5% plotted. The system was running for over a week stable with 4 systems plotting to these drives.

This looks like duplicate of Abnormal plotting progress in farmer cluster and not cluster-specific. Make sure to try latest jul-05 release. If still reproducible with jul-05 then read Abnormal plotting progress in farmer cluster for logs and log level Iā€™m looking for and comment there with additional details for continuity.
