Unexpected bootnode peer IDs and stalled after "Too many connections."

Problem

Managed to start syncing fine then started seeing messages about bootnodes providing peer IDs that were not expected. The distinct list follows:

It’s a little confusing that the same IP is expecting different node IDs? Or am I reading that the wrong way round?

Eventually my node stalled after repeating an Accepting new connection 1/100 message up to and past 100. CPU and disk are now idle. Please see the log below.

  • Node will sync.

Interesting, its possible that ip is running multiple nodes, but yeah as you mentioned definitely a bit odd. Lets add this one to the ambassador table and see if we can get a dev’s eyes on it.

The bootnode details used to be hard-coded which is where my confusion is coming from. If the log message is supposed to read regular/peer node I think that’s a likely explanation.

Well with the DSN implementation there should be more peer-to-peer connections occurring for farmer to farmer sync, but this looks to be on the node side
