Announcing Autonomys’ New On-Demand Ambassador Onboarding

Calling all aspiring Ambassadors!

The Subspace Foundation proudly announces the shift of the Autonomys Ambassador Program to an open, skills-based application process tailored to the project’s needs. Apply to join our global community of Autonaut Ambassadors, ascend the ranks through contribution, and receive $AI3 rewards.

Autonomys Ambassador Program History
Subspace launched the global Ambassador Program in 2022, welcoming its inaugural cohort and catalyzing rapid community growth. Over time, the program has successfully onboarded several cohorts, with the most recent cohort joining in Q3 2024. Today, around 80 Ambassadors support Autonomys in roles ranging from content creators and multi-language community managers to developers and technical support agents.

We deeply appreciate their dedication and hard work.

On-Demand Onboarding
In Q4 2024, through a collaboratively developed internal governance framework, the Ambassador community decided to reform its onboarding process. As a result, the Subspace Foundation shifts from a quarterly cohort-based model to an on-demand application process. This approach allows the program to select ambassadors based on their skills and the current needs of the Autonomys project.

This change introduces flexibility, enabling ambassadors to join and thrive at their own pace while meeting program demands. We strongly encourage applications from diverse individuals who can showcase their skills and experiences, regardless of formal qualifications.

New Ambassadors
Lead Ambassadors can identify the required skills and number of new Ambassadors during their bi-weekly meetings. They coordinate with the Program Manager to select applicants from an open application pool.

Selected Applicants:

  • Start as Apprentice Ambassadors.
  • Complete a 4-week Educational Plan and mini-project.
  • Undergo weekly assessments to ensure readiness.
  • Receive guidance and support from experienced volunteer Mentors.

At the end of the onboarding period, Mentors and the Program Manager evaluate the Apprentice’s progress. Approved Ambassadors join the team during All-Hands events, fostering relationships and building community.

This process equips all Autonomys Ambassadors with the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to excel from day one. Mentors also provide feedback on the onboarding experience, and updates to the Educational Plan occur quarterly, ensuring continuous improvement.
