Mainnet Phase 2 Roadmap

The Path to Mainnet Phase-2

As we approach Mainnet Phase-2, we’re excited to share some important updates and milestones that will shape the future of the Autonomys Network.

Last week, Autonomys leadership came together to crystallize the ongoing efforts across every department of the Autonomys Network and the Subspace Foundation. The result is a comprehensive roadmap that outlines the major milestones leading to the launch of Mainnet Phase-2. Below, we’ll break down each track, explain the key initiatives, and provide insights into what’s ahead.

Foundation Track

  • Autonomys Improvement Proposals (AIPs):
These will serve as a structured way to propose and implement network upgrades, similar to Ethereum’s EIPs. The process draft is under internal review and will soon be approved by the Subspace Foundation Council for public announcement.

  • Ecosystem Grants Program:
A framework to reward builders delivering real value to the network. This includes creating application guidelines, legal agreement templates, and a streamlined process for proposal evaluation. Work is already underway, and updates will follow soon.

  • Ambassador Agreements:
Formalizing relationships between ambassadors and the Subspace Foundation. These agreements are nearing final approval and will ensure ambassadors have clear guidance and recognition for their contributions.

  • Stakeholder Claim Site:
Partnering with Tokensoft, we’re building a platform for stakeholders, including investors, ambassadors, and advisors, to access their vested and unlocked tokens. Instructions will be provided closer to launch.

Engineering Track

  • Taurus Auto EVM Launched:
Our renamed “Auto EVM” is live on Taurus, enabling developers to deploy applications and contracts in preparation for Mainnet Phase-2.

  • Argu-mint PoC and Agent Framework:
Argu-mint is live and his memories can be viewed on-chain. The Autonomys Agents repository will be refined to ensure a seamless builder experience. This lays the groundwork for a proliferation of autonomous on-chain agents like Argu-mint.

  • Cross-Domain Messaging (XDM):
A crucial feature enabling token transfers between domains. Once finalized, it will undergo an external audit by SR Labs to ensure readiness for Mainnet Phase-2.

  • Auto EVM Deployments:
Infrastructure for Auto EVM will be configured and ready for deployment on Mainnet Phase-2 launch day.

  • Domain Explorers:
Essential tools like Blockscout and other partner-provided explorers will offer detailed visibility into domains, supporting both developers and end-users.

  • Transfer Activation:
The Subspace Foundation will handle the critical task of enabling token transfers on Mainnet Phase-2.

Community Track

  • Auto Horizon Developer Contest:
Currently running, this contest offers a substantial prize pool for innovative projects built on the network. Submissions close at the end of this month - don’t miss out!

  • Hacker Month 2:
Incorporating the Autonomys Agents Framework, this extended event will feature exciting initiatives like an in-person hackathon and opportunities to build AI3.0 solutions.

  • Stake Wars 2:
A longer-running initiative to test staking, nominating, and domain operations. While completing Stake Wars 2 is not a launch dependency, starting it and testing workflows are required. Expect continuous testing and improvements over time.

  • Core Infrastructure Deployments:
Multisig wallets, bridges, and other foundational applications will be deployed. Grants may be available for third-party developers who are able to bring additional value to the network.

  • Big Bang 2:
Our Phase-2 launch campaign (working title) will build excitement and engagement, mirroring the success of Mainnet Phase-1 activities. Stay tuned for details!

Marketing Track

  • APAC Growth Lead & KOL Activation:
Expanding our presence in key markets with dedicated people and collaborations with influential voices in the blockchain space.

  • Website Enhancements:
Developer onboarding improvements (v1.3) and a more significant website overhaul (v2.0) to align with Mainnet Phase-2 capabilities.

  • Event Participation:
Significant involvement in global events like HK Consensus and ETHDenver, where we’ll get involved with the conversation, host hackathons and showcase Autonomys.

  • Listings (CEX/DEX):
Critical for enhancing liquidity and accessibility ahead of token transfer activation.

Product Track

  • Rapid Agent Platform:
A no-code interface to democratize access to building autonomous agents. Early access will reward dedicated community members, with a waitlist launching soon.

  • Second Agent Launch:
Building on the success of Argu-mint, a new agent with advanced interactive capabilities will debut in Q1. Stay tuned for announcements!

  • Partnership Activation:
Collaborating with partners to leverage Autonomys’ AI3.0 infrastructure for mutual growth and innovation. Metrics are in place to gauge activation success before Phase-2.

Partnerships Track

  • Incubation Program:
Targeting decentralized AI projects, this program will identify key markets and build relationships to drive innovation.

  • TEE Compute Partnerships:
Bringing trusted execution environment (TEE) providers onboard to enhance ecosystem capabilities.

  • DEX Partnerships:
Focused on building partnerships with decentralized exchanges to support liquidity as we activate token transfers.

In Conclusion

There’s no doubt that Mainnet Phase-2 is a huge step forward for the Autonomys Network, and we’re thrilled to have you alongside us for the journey. Every department is working tirelessly to ensure a successful launch, and we’ll continue to provide updates as we hit key milestones.

Is it necessary to complete Stake Wars 2 before launching the second phase of the mainnet? Are these two related?
Or could Stake Wars 2 happen before the second phase of the mainnet, or possibly after it has already started?

Great question! I talked on this in a bit more depth on the Farmer Office Hours call yesterday. We need to start Stake Wars 2 but completing it is not a requirement for launching Mainnet Phase-2.
