The Path to Mainnet Phase-2
As we approach the highly anticipated Mainnet Phase-2 launch, we want to begin this update by extending our gratitude to all community members whose active participation and unwavering support have propelled Autonomys forward to this significant milestone.
Our core commitment remains unchanged: delivering a secure, stable, and successful network. To uphold this standard, we recognize that rushing to meet an artificial deadline could compromise the quality and success of the project. Our initial goal was to launch Mainnet Phase-2 in Q1, contingent upon several critical dependencies being met - most notably, receiving the final protocol audit report, launching our grants program, and securing robust exchange integrations.
The good news is that the protocol itself is now feature-ready. The audit by SR Labs is actively underway, and while we’ve received early positive feedback, the complete audit report is expected within the next 4–6 weeks. This positions us just beyond the original Q1 timeline.
Simultaneously, significant effort is being directed toward activating our Ecosystem Grants Program and finalizing critical exchange partnerships- two other essential elements on our roadmap. Rest assured, our teams are diligently working to complete these items with urgency and precision.
We understand the eagerness within the community, and we’re committed to a timeline measured in weeks, not months, ensuring that when we launch Mainnet Phase-2, it will be done thoughtfully and comprehensively - laying a strong foundation for a sustainable future.
We remain fully committed to transparently communicating our progress and any adjustments we must make along the way.
Below you’ll find detailed updates on each of the project’s tracks, highlighting our recent progress and immediate next steps since the last roadmap update.
Foundation Track
-
Ecosystem Grants Program
The grants program will be launched imminently. It is awaiting a final resolution from the foundation council. If you have an idea that demonstrates clear value to the project please reach out and let us know. Details on how to submit proposals will be clearly outlined on the Subspace Foundation website as soon as the program launches. We are also planning to publish a wishlist of projects we’d like to see undertaken so builders can check that out for inspiration.
-
Stakeholder Claim Site
The claim site is in QA at the moment. We have been testing and providing feedback to our launch partner, Tokensoft who have been great at responding to our comments and it is shaping up to be a great experience for those who require vesting contracts.
Engineering Track
-
Agent Framework
The Auto Agents framework continues to be a steady pillar of our builder outreach efforts. Team are seeing agents springing up organically as well as through our Aurora Buildathon efforts. The recent v0.4.0 release provides a plethora of new features that have been well received.
-
Audit
This audit is essential to validate the security and reliability of our network before it goes live. While we have had early feedback from SR Labs we have not had the full report back as yet. This has always been marked as an absolutely critical dependency for Mainnet Phase-2 launch readiness. Follow along with our Dev Sync videos which stream on YouTube, LinkedIn and our X accounts including the engineering specific one https://x.com/autonomyslabs every other Monday.
Community Track
-
Aurora Buildathon:
February was a great month for the Buildathon. In partnership with Secret Network we co-hosted HackSecret 5 and a Hacker House at ETHDenver. There were some great submissions and winners were announced live on an Aurora Workshop where we were joined by the Secret Network team. There are a number of follow up tasks including gathering developer feedback and deploying the best applications for community showcasing but we are very happy with how well it went.
Looking ahead we will shortly be unveiling our plans to partner with the Kansas University Blockchain Institute (KUBI) to run a custom Autonomys Agents track and host a workshop in front of the bright young mind attending the Midwest Block-A-Thon.
-
Game of Domains:
Our staking initiative has been tweaked slightly to make sure we are getting XDM testing underway which is another critical dependency for launch. Read up here on the first Trial of Innovation and how to get involved and help us test Cross Domain Messaging as rigorously as possible.
Thanks to your active feedback and participation, we’ve already been able to identify and prioritize key improvements.
-
Core Infrastructure Deployments:
Infrastructure projects have been progressed with us getting official support from The Graph on Taurus Auto EVM. We are also talking to partners and external parties to make sure we have the components we need in place to provide observability and basic interaction functionality with the chain as quickly after Mainnet Phase-2 launch as possible.
We have also just shared some exciting news on expanding our wallet ecosystem.
-
Dawn of Autonomy:
Our Phase-2 launch campaign will build excitement and engagement, mirroring the success of the Mainnet Phase-1 launch activities. It’s currently in the planning stage and we are thinking through ways to engage with our community in the run-up to, and through Phase-2. Let us know which of the Big Bang initiatives you enjoyed the most and help us shape the fun. Maybe you’d like to see the return of an old favorite? Stay tuned to our announcement channels for details!
Marketing Track
-
APAC Growth Lead & KOL Activation:
We are very pleased to announce that we have an APAC Growth Lead who will be joining the team in April. This has taken us longer than originally hoped but it was important to make sure that the best candidate for the job was sourced. Please join us in welcoming them onboard when they arrive.
KOL activation is an item on our checklist that will be timed strategically with the Mainnet Phase-2 launch. It is part of a wider bundle of Go-To-Market initiatives that are lined up and ready to go just as soon as we set the Phase-2 date. The expectation is that the date will be confirmed around 1 week in advance and the community will be the first to know as soon as that happens.
-
Website Enhancements:
The Autonomys website v1.3 has been rolled out and is constantly being updated and improved. The Developer Hub has also been integrated improving our builder onboarding experience. Two items we can check off the list.
The next rolling update will continue to feature new supported pages on our Agent Framework and Autonomous Agents so that developers can find the tools they need to launch their own agents frictionlessly.
-
Event Participation:
Successful attendance of Consensus at Hong Kong and ETHDenver in Colorado took place last month and we are very pleased with the exposure the project got along with the bundles of partners and contacts, new and old that we met and caught up with at these industry events.
As we head towards GTM - we will be putting a pause on IRL Conferences & Events with all focus on supporting key areas for the successful listing of $AI3. When we are ready to hit the road again, we expect the project to be in a completely different position - but we anticipate that this could be around mid-Q2.
-
AI3 GTM:
As our Foundation & Council continues their work on securing listings we are working closely with them to align on timing, delivery, media outreach, campaign execution that will be launched around the time of listings. We can ensure that once $AI3 is listed, there will be plenty of opportunity for existing AI3 holders to participate in exciting campaigns while broadening the exposure of Autonomys to new holders via user driven onboarding campaigns.
Product Track
-
Data Focused Integrations:
We are executing the first part of our product strategy and that is focused on getting data into the DSN to start balancing the supply/demand curve. Our GTM for Data Aggregation is focused on 3 verticals. Agents, Developers, and Integrations. We have agents that are serving as the PoC for storing data on-chain but now with formal agreements with Vana and Ringfence, we can operationalize on the integration side of things as well. Once we have momentum with data aggregation, we will start to position ourselves to focus on the second wave of the product strategy which will focus on data and AI output quality.
-
Midwest Block-a-Thon with the University of Kansas:
We’re thrilled to sponsor the Web3 AI track at the first annual Midwest Block-a-Thon at the University of Kansas. Alongside fellow sponsors like Ripple, Pinata, Dapl.club, and Sonic, we’re excited to empower the next generation of builders, futurists, and innovators. We’re proud to provide access to Autonomys’ permanent, immutable storage, developer SDK, and AI agent framework—equipping them with all the resources they need to participate and lead in a decentralized future where data serves as the foundation for intelligent AI systems—one that is open, transparent, and unstoppable. We expect to gather valuable feedback from the projects and enhance our SDK and Agent Framework offerings as a result.
-
Formalize Product Strategy:
The product team has begun to formalize the product strategy for post TGE execution. This not only spans the various interaction surfaces that retail users will be utilizing but also spans across the R&D practice for agentic autonomy. More details will be socialized after TGE.
Partnerships Track
-
Vana Integration:
We have signed an agreement to explore data access with Vana. Internally we may spin up a DataDao as well, but the primary goal is for Vana to explore use cases for the DSN and for us to work with them in tandem to launch Vana’s Data Access v0.
-
Ringfence AI Integration:
We have entered into an agreement to be included as the decentralized data storage option for the agentic platform initiatives that Ringfence is currently pursuing. We expect to have a more formal announcement about this once integration has been completed.
-
Data Streams and Agents:
We are continuing to explore extensions of our agent framework and collaborating with real-time data providers to explore the potential of bringing real-time data feeds to Autonomys Agents as well as exploring how agents can aggregate real-time data and store it to the DSN for later use as archived data. We expect this exploration to continue through the end of Q1 with clear commitments to share publicly in Q2.
-
Discussions in Flight:
We are actively talking with multiple parties across different industry verticals to find the best integrations for the Autonomys Network.
Conclusion
As you can see, we’ve achieved significant progress across all tracks, carefully aligning each milestone with our overarching commitment: a secure, stable, and successful Mainnet Phase-2 launch. The path to launching an innovative and sustainable network isn’t always linear, and sometimes adjustments to timelines are necessary to ensure the integrity and readiness of the protocol.
We deeply appreciate the patience, enthusiasm, and continued engagement from every member of the Autonomys community. Your active participation, constructive feedback, and dedication have been critical in bringing us to this exciting stage.
Looking ahead, our focus remains firmly on finalizing essential items such as the protocol audit, the ecosystem grants program, and strategic exchange partnerships as part of our GTM. While we’ve experienced a slight shift from our original timeline, rest assured that this approach ensures we’re building a solid foundation to sustain Autonomys’ growth long-term.
Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to launch - we’re now counting down in weeks, not months. Your continued involvement is crucial, so please keep participating, providing feedback, and helping shape the future of Autonomys.
Together, we’re building something extraordinary.
