Autonomys Network Mainnet Phase-1 Launch
It’s been a little while since we last checked in on our roadmap, so let’s take some time to review the progress on the critical tasks leading us to the launch of Mainnet Phase-1. This post summarizes the key points and milestones discussed during our recent Developer Office Hours if you’d prefer to watch a video rather than read on.

Starting from the top-left and working through the tasks, we can see that several milestones have been marked as complete, denoted in grey.
Key Community Updates
- Incentivized Testnet: The incentivized testnet successfully concluded on September 18th, which unblocked us from calculating the final allocations. These will be integrated into the chainspec.
- Genesis Data Contest: Thanks to our amazing community, we’ve had numerous submissions. While judging is underway, engineering has already begun testing the seeding process on our internal devnet. Read about the contest here.
- Community Rewards Audit: This kicked off a few weeks ago with preview data. We’re excited to share that the Astral Rewards Checker is now live!

Foundation Track Updates
- The foundation website is live with a minimal MVP design, and you can visit it here: Subspace Foundation.

- Ambassador Agreements: We’ve started reaching out to confirm identities as the first step towards setting up vesting contracts on mainnet Nova for Phase-2.
- This process will continue through the launch of Phase-1 and won’t impact our timeline.
- Tokenomics: There are still a few tasks outstanding here. We’re working on finalizing allocations, receiving feedback from advisors, and polishing the visuals. Stay tuned for an update from the foundation soon.
Product and Engineering Updates
- The Astral Staking Interface Refresh was completed a while back. This will be key for Stake Wars 2, which will happen between Phase-1 and Phase-2 on the new persistent testnet, Taurus.
- As mentioned above, the Astral Rewards Checker went live today (huge shoutout to Marc for all his hard work!).
- GPU Plotting Support: We now have an open-source, more performant GPU plotter with wider support than any third-party tools we’ve encountered.
- While we’re still working to support more cards, community feedback will be critical as we expand this feature.
Protocol Engineering and Space Race
- Last week, we hosted the Nano Space Race. Despite a rocky start (thanks to some demo gremlins), the infrastructure came online smoothly afterward, and our community farmers smashed the initial 50GB target.
- Next up, we’ll be running the Micro Space Race during next week’s Farmer Office Hours. The outcome of this event will likely determine if we’re ready to launch Mainnet Phase-1 on October 30th.
- Please note: this date is provisional, and any unforeseen issues could lead to changes. However, as always, we’ll remain transparent about any delays.
- The whitepaper is now planned for release shortly after Mainnet Phase-1 launch and is not a blocker to the process.
